Sim Checker ("we", "us", "our") is an independent compatibility tool for sim racing and flight sim enthusiasts. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We keep it short because we genuinely don't collect much.
If you enter your email address to join the electronics compatibility waitlist, we store that address so we can notify you when the feature launches. We use Resend to send a confirmation email at the point of sign-up.
We will only use your email to notify you about the specific feature you signed up for. We won't send marketing emails, share your address with third parties, or sell it — ever.
If you use the "Report missing product" form, we receive the product name and category you submitted. No account or personal information is attached to these reports.
Like all web servers, ours briefly logs incoming requests (URL, timestamp, IP address). These logs are used solely for debugging and security monitoring. They are not stored long-term or linked to any identity.
Sim Checker saves your saved builds and preferences in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
We do not use cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party advertising trackers. The only external requests your browser makes are to Google Fonts (for typography) and our backend API on Render.
Waitlist email addresses are kept until the electronics compatibility feature launches and the waitlist is no longer needed, or until you ask us to delete your entry — whichever comes first.

Sim Checker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sim Checker after any change means you accept the updated policy.
